Towed In From Accident
We DO NOT recommend you to send photos of damages to any insurance company. It is common that the general claims department representative will try to convince you that uploading photos to their app or emailing photos to them directly will help your claim to be processed faster. That is rarely the case. For the most accurate evaluation and to ensure a smooth process, our staff will provide those services.
As long as you have the proper coverage, we will bill your insurance company directly so that you don't have any out of pocket towing expenses.
What To DO If Your Vehicle Was Towed From Accident Scene
Step 1: Contact shop ASAP
Step 2: Contact Insurance company for claim number
Step 3: Notify shop of claim number and any direct contact information for a specific insurance representative
Step 4: Make an appointment to come to shop for any necessary items
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can you submit this through my AAA?
A: NO, AAA is typically a "Roadside Assistance Program". Collision/Recovery is not usually covered by AAA however Collision insurance will cover the fees. If you do not have Collision Coverage, you can contact AAA to inquire about a potential reimbursement as we are not AAA Affiliated.
Q: What do I do if I do not have insurance coverage?
A: You have 2 Options
Option 1: Pay the Tow Bill Out of Pocket and retain your vehicle. You may need to make arrangements to have a transport towing company move the vehicle, if not drivable.
Option 2: (Most Common) Pay a Reduced Rate on your Tow Bill and Sign over the Title. The Title is only used as a "coupon" as we are not a Salvor Yard and we do not purchase vehicles to part out, reuse, resell, or sell for "scrap metal".
Q: Do I need an appointment to come get something out of my car?
A: Yes. During this appointment, you will need to bring specific items and relate specific information. Your vehicle may not be easily accessible and you will need authorization or assistance to either access the tow yard or have the vehicle be moved out front.
Q: This accident wasn't my fault. DO I still need to contact my insurance?
A: It depends on the type of coverage the other person has. Generally, either insurance company will require a copy of the police report to determine liability. Feel free to ask our opinion/advise based on your situation.
