Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between Full Coverage, Basic Liability, Collision, and Comprehensive insurance?
A: Basic Liability Insurance Coverage will cover the costs of damages you cause to someone else's vehicle or property but does not cover any of the costs to repair your vehicle or the tow bill.
Collision Coverage will include tow bill and repairs from an accident where the vehicle struck another vehicle, a building, a tree, a retaining wall, or any other object on the road, parking lot, or at a residence.
Comprehensive Coverage is damages that occurred due to an Animal (Deer, Bear, Dog, Cat, Bird, etc.), Hail Storm, a Tree falling on your car, or damages from a situation that the insurance company feels was caused by an "Act of God" and beyond the human control.
A Full Coverage Insurance Policy typically covers all costs/damages from any occasion/circumstance.
Q: How does my deductible work?
A: Your insurance premium is based on the deductible amount YOU CHOOSE. When your insurance company pays out on a claim, they will pay the total amount minus your deductible. It is YOUR responsibility to pay your deductible to the shop directly upon completion of repairs.
Q: Can you make my estimate higher to cover my deductible?
A: NO. The insurance adjuster reviews and revises all estimates. We are required to show proof, damages and keep documents of invoices. DO NOT expect us to commit insurance fraud on your behalf!
Q: Do I have to pay my deductible when going through someone else's insurance?
A: NO. Deductibles apply to insured and not claimants.
Q: Can I purchase / supply / bring my own parts? (Can you bring your own steak to a restaurant and only expect to pay the chef to cook it?)
A: NO. We use parts from authorized vendors that uphold a warranty. Not all parts have the same quality and may fit differently requiring additional fabrication and causing complications.
